My Welcome and Purpose!
Hello there! Welcome to Watching Each Other Blossom! If you stumbled upon this blog, that means you probably received one of my cards! And I'm so happy you are here! I just wanted to introduce myself, and my purpose here!
To begin, I'm a seventeen year old girl, and that's about all you need to know about me! I want to keep this semi anonymous (:
I'm creating this blog because I want to change the world. That sounds pretty crazy, right! A seventeen year old girl thinks she can change the world haha. While that may seem ambitious, I want to start where I am, with what I have, and do what I can.
About two and a half years ago, I was diagnosed with a life threatening disease that I have to deal with everyday now. But what sets my disease apart is that it's mostly invisible. When someone looks at me, they most likely would never know that I have a disease! And it began to be hard and frustrating. And through all of these hard times, dealing with illness silently, I began to feel something, understand something, that I had never felt before. I began to understand, that just like me, other people are dealing with so many things that I can't see. I began to feel empathy. And it opened my eyes, and I began seeing people in a completely different perspective! Each person I passed in the grocery store or drove next to on the highway or smiled at in the hallways at school, they each have their own unique story, unique trials, unique perspective. And so one day, I listened to the crazy voice in my head, and I decided to do something about this. My parents were going to Walmart, so I decided to tag along. I told them I wanted to buy some flowers, but I wouldn't tell them who they were for. And I had written a note and kept it in my purse. Then we walked out of the store and I told them. "We are going to go give someone these flowers!" And I whipped out my note, and my parents kind of laughed haha. We all laughed, but I was serious. A girl on a mission! So I went and I gave the flowers to a woman walking out of the store, and I was so nervous, but I had never felt so happy. And from then on, I've been buying flowers and leaving them on cars or handing them to people in parking lots, and it's what honestly keeps me going.
But what inspired me to create this blog, was that, I wanted those who received my flowers, to come to a place and tell me their story. Write a comment about how this has impacted them. And then, I want you to pass the card along. You don't have to buy flowers, you could bake treats, write a note to a friend, give it to your mailman, leave it in someone's locker. I want this card to travel, but more than my little card, I want the kindness to travel. I want you to feel the joy of spreading kindness, that I have felt!
Thank you for visiting my blog! Watching Each Other Blossom will be a place where we can share our stories as we grow and unite. I would love if you would leave a comment and tell me if you received my service, and how you will pay it forward!
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you have a lovely day!

Wow, seriously you are such an inspiring young woman! I walked out to a bouquet of flowers on my car, and I teared up a little. I don’t have much of a story to tell. I am 30, a mother of 3 beautiful kids, and I am lucky to be a stay at home mom. Today, honestly I’ve been having a ‘bawl your eyes out’ kind of day. (Everything that could go wrong, seemed to go wrong) And coming out to my car to find flowers, just flipped everything around. While I may have been a random person, it’s seriously what I needed today. Thank you for your kindness and I can’t wait to pay it forward. Keep shining bright!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea. The world needs more people like you in it! I walked out of the grocery store today to find a sweet note and flowers on my truck. Seriously brightened my day and I will definitely pay it forward :)
